This is a Burnt Orange Tafatta. I found it at JoAnn Fabrics for $12.99, I used a 40% off coupon. I got 3yds 60" wide. I drafted this pattern myself. It is my first design and first lined pattern.
I am going to alter it some. I will cut 2" from the top of the bodice. Hopefully this will provide more "coverage" on the breast area. I didn't curve the waist line, but will wittle a couple of inches off there too. I an using a different lining. The one I selected is the perfect color, but was $2.99 and it worked like it. There is a Party Tafatta which matches that I may try.
My daughter says her friends give the dress an A+. The smile on her face means even more to me.
